The application of cementitious grout begins after ensuring that the tiled surface is properly set and the adhesive has fully cured. All tile joints should be clean, dry, and free from dust, adhesive residue, or any contaminants. The cementitious grout is prepared by mixing the powder with clean water, following the manufacturer's recommended water-to-powder ratio, to form a smooth, lump-free paste. The grout is then applied diagonally across the tile joints using a rubber float or squeegee, pressing firmly to ensure complete filling of the grooves. Excess grout is wiped off the tile surface before it begins to harden, using a damp sponge or cloth. After initial setting, a second cleaning is done to remove any grout haze. The filled joints are allowed to cure naturally, avoiding water or traffic for the recommended curing period. Proper application ensures water-resistant, crack-free joints and a durable, aesthetically pleasing tiled surface.
