Crystalline Waterproofing Coating is ready mixed and contains high resistance damp-proof bonding agents, waterproof additives and selected inert materials. It comes in powder form to be mixed with water before use. It is reactive to calcium hydroxide, forming stable and insoluble compounds. It guarantees a perfect integration to the surface creating an insoluble crystallization, which closes the capillaries osmotically. The presence of certain additives bond with the cement giving a double layer, which is impermeable to water creating a crystalline effect (osmotic healing) with time.

Precautions:

• Do not apply it to surfaces subject to structural movement or subsidence. It is better to place stress on waterproofing which has been finished with this for 48 hours after application. During the summer season and in windy whether special care must be taken to keep the waterproof surface suitably bathed with a water mist to prevent rapid drying. Adhere scrupulously to the water ratio advised for the mix. Avoid the formation of a surface veil of water. To achieve good bonding on loose or crumbling masonry, in addition to the normal preliminary surface cleaning, a reinforced cement render must be provided.
